1. WHO WE ARE
Haleem Rush is a home-based food business serving Aylesbury and surrounding areas. For data-protection purposes, Haleem Rush is the controller of personal information collected through this website and through direct enquiries.
Email: contact@haleemrush.co.uk.
Before launch: insert the proprietor’s legal name and the business’s full postal address here. UK online sellers must make their legal identity and address available to customers.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number, delivery address and postcode;
- order details, preferences, requested dates, catering information and communications;
- payment status and transaction references. Card details are handled by Shopify Payments or another payment provider and are not stored by us;
- technical information such as IP address, browser, device, pages visited and cookie choices;
- information you provide about allergies or dietary requirements. This may reveal health information, so please provide only what is necessary for us to respond safely.
We receive information directly from you and, where relevant, from Shopify, payment providers, delivery partners, Deliveroo or Uber Eats.
3. HOW AND WHY WE USE INFORMATION
- To fulfil our contract: take payment, prepare, manage and deliver your order, send confirmations and provide customer service.
- To take steps at your request: respond to catering enquiries or provide an order quotation.
- To meet legal obligations: maintain accounting, tax, food-safety and transaction records, handle recalls and respond to authorities.
- For legitimate interests: prevent fraud, secure and improve the website, manage complaints and understand business performance where your rights do not override those interests.
- With consent: send optional marketing or use non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
We do not sell personal information.
4. WHO WE SHARE INFORMATION WITH
We share only what is reasonably necessary with service providers such as Shopify, payment processors, website and email providers, delivery couriers, professional advisers and IT support. Marketplace orders are also governed by the relevant Deliveroo or Uber Eats privacy policy. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect customers and the business.
Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on an approved legal safeguard or another lawful transfer mechanism.
5. HOW LONG WE KEEP IT AND SECURITY
We keep order, payment and accounting records for the period required by tax and legal rules. Enquiry information is kept only while it remains useful for responding or managing a booking. Marketing information is retained until you unsubscribe or consent is withdrawn. Technical records are kept according to the service provider’s documented retention period.
We use proportionate organisational and technical safeguards, including controlled access, reputable service providers and secure payment processing. No online system is completely risk-free.
6. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us to provide a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, restrict its use, transfer it, or stop processing it. You may object to direct marketing at any time and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Some rights are subject to legal exceptions and record-keeping duties.
7. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Shopify and this website may use necessary cookies for functions such as the basket, checkout, security and remembering preferences. We will ask for consent before setting non-essential analytics or advertising cookies where required. Details of active cookies should be added to a dedicated cookie notice when the final Shopify apps and analytics tools are selected.
8. CHILDREN
This website is intended for customers who can lawfully place an order. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for marketing purposes.
9. CONTACT, COMPLAINTS AND UPDATES
For a privacy request, email contact@haleemrush.co.uk. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We may update this policy when our services or legal duties change. The effective date above will show the latest revision.
